JOB PURPOSE:                Operates welding equipment to weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

JOB DUTIES:

MIG, TIG, Flux Core, Stainless Steel.
Reads and interprets blueprints or welding process specifications.
Works with jigs and samples
Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as MIG, TIG, STICK, MAG, soldering, oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), and resistance welding
Operates manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
Operates cutting, brazing and soldering equipment.
Operates metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.
Repairs worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
Assists with the maintenance and repair of welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Assists Brake and Plasma Operator when required.
Operates fork lift (licensed).
Operates air tools, electrical grinders.
Assists design office and Product Development Manager by making sketches, drawings, notes, etc.
Has no contra-indications to, lifting within safe lifting limits as legislated, and contact with cutting oils (SAE Standards and Health Standard Regulated).
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Accomplishes organizations goals by accepting ownership for completing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

JOB PURPOSE:  Produces components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies made from different materials, such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics and composites. 

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Assembly of attachments and other finished goods in a timely manner while ensuring quality control.

JOB DUTIES:
Prepare work to be accomplished by studying, reading and following diagrams, assembly instructions, specifications and parts lists, gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools and materials.Position parts and sub-assemblies by using templates, jigs or reading measurements.
Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
Use hand and power tools.
Verify specifications by measuring and testing completed components.
Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, after notifying the Production Manager and QA/R&D Coordinator.
Operate lifting equipment, such as forklift or tractor, to load and unload trucks and move inventory, if required.
Manage hand tools, power tools, replacement tools, paint, grease, thinner, acetone.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintain a clean working environment.
Regular exposure to conditions consistent with metal fabrication and machining.
Overtime may be required.
Travel within the region may be required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Maintain a valid driver’s license.
Maintain a valid forklift operator’s license.

JOB PURPOSE:    Operates High-Definition Plasma to cut shapes out of steel, stainless steel and aluminum.  Operates brake to bend steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

JOB DUTIES:
Plasma Operator Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints.
Work with samples.
Possess knowledge of different types of materials.
Calibrate and adjust machines.
Understand bend and cutting tolerances.
Operate air and electrical tools.
Operate fork lift.
Has no contra-indications to, lifting within safe lifting limits as legislated, and contact with cutting oils (SAE Standards and Health Standard Regulated).
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Accomplish organization’s goals by accepting ownership for completing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Managing, tracking and reporting sheet metal inventory.
Suggest new improvements or methods to optimize manufacturing times.
Improve knowledge to aid the company to achieve quicker production times, one pc flow.   
Report issues to QC as well as aid in resolution.
Prioritize work assignments.
Perform all necessary quality checks during production and follow procedures when defective parts are discovered.
Problem Solving Skills, learn to see issues and resolve them.

Brake Operator Duties:
Select proper punches and dies based on material thickness and type.
Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use.
Give options or ideas to purchase new tooling.

JOB PURPOSE: Coordinates activities involved with procurement of goods and services. Processes purchasing transactions and maintains inventories of raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.

OBJECTIVES AND JOB DUTIES:
Review requisition orders for accuracy and verify that materials, equipment and stock are not available from current inventories.
Source and obtain price quotations from suppliers and catalogues and confer with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
Calculate cost of orders and process purchases within purchasing authority.
Follow-up with suppliers to schedule deliveries and resolve shortages, missed deliveries and other problems.
Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with quality control personnel to determine source of trouble and take corrective action with suppliers.
Process purchasing receipts.
Maintain procurement records such as purchasing files, reports and price lists.
Reconcile physical inventories with computer counts.
